演講摘要：
本次演講為陸博士在臺北進行的12個月田野調查成果，包括訪談、志願服務和攝影研究等，探索臺北酷兒社群中，性別認同、性取向、女性主義與社群形成的交集。陸博士以民族誌研究的方式探討女性主義運動與LGBTQ+權利運動之間的關係，分析性別取向和性別認同如何影響個人於女性主義運動的意願，重新思考人類學中關於親屬與相關性的經典問題，並著重於在探討社群形成和親密政治聯盟的過程。陸博士的研究採用交集性作為方法論，探索經重疊的主體性和相關歧視如何影響個體生活。希望能重新評估女性主義與酷兒抵抗之間的協同作用，以及全球性別認同、國家政策與日常生活之間的摩擦。此外，在演講中，她將分享研究人員如何因應研究環境與社會情勢的改變調整研究方式，如因應COVID-19疫情而調整田野研究地點等。

This PhD project explores the intersections of gender identity, sexuality, feminism, and community formation in Taipei. This project is an ethnographic exploration of the relationship between feminist activism and the LGBTQ+ rights movement, analysing how sexual and gender identities influence individuals' desires to align with the feminist movement. The Queer Feminist Kinship project revisits established anthropological questions about kinship and relatedness to examine the formation of community and intimate political alliances. It utilises intersectionality as a methodology to question how experiencing overlapping subjectivities and correlative discrimination influences individuals’ lives. It aims to rethink the synergies of feminist and queer resistance, as well as the frictions between the global sex-sexuality-gender taxonomies, state policies and the everyday. This interactive talk will outline how the PhD project has been transformed by the researcher’s adapting to circumstance, including changing field site in response to the Covid-19 pandemic. This is a work-in-progress discussion of the Queer Feminist Kinship project, drawing on 12 months’ fieldwork in Taipei, including interviews, volunteering, and photographic research.



主講人簡介：
陸茜琳（Catherine Alexandra Sutherland）是英國倫敦大學亞非學院社會人類學博士候選人。作為酷兒女性主義研究者，對性別研究、酷兒理論、女性主義行動主義以及使用攝影和民族誌電影作為研究方法感興趣。在攻讀博士期間，她獲得教育部華語文獎學金在國立臺灣大學學習了一年中文，並臺北對酷兒群體進行博士田野調查，並於2023年為中央研究院訪問學人。

Cas Sutherland is an ESRC-funded PhD candidate in Social Anthropology at SOAS, University of London. As a queer feminist researcher, Cas is interested in gender studies, queer theory, feminist activism, and using photography and ethnographic filmmaking as research methods. During her PhD, Cas spent one year studying Mandarin Chinese at ICLP, National Taiwan University with a MOFA Huayu Enrichment Scholarship. While conducting her PhD fieldwork among queer people in Taipei, Cas was hosted by Academia Sinica and received a research grant from the Centre for Chinese Studies at the National Central Library.
