（Exploring Ecofeminism in Taiwan and its Application to Li
\n\nEcofeminism was firstly developed in the West in the 1980s
\, as both a theory and a praxis that highlight parallels between women’s
subordination and human exploitation of the natural world. Although it is
generally regarded as a universal thought since women’s rights and environ
mental protection are transnational issues\, it is necessary to recontextu
alize its development depending on local concerns.Taiwanese society appear
s as a particularly fertile ground for studying connections between femini
st and ecological consciousness as they have both emerged as major issues
since the end of the 1980s. This growing awareness invites us to question
what can be the definition of a Taiwanese form of ecofeminism\, and how we
can comprehend its relevance according to local phenomena.Furthermore\, e
nvironmental and gender issues are rich materials for literary creation. E
cofeminist literary criticism thus turns out to be a useful tool in order
to explore the importance and significance of these issues in contemporary
literary production. This talk will rely on examples extracted from conte
mporary female poetry to illustrate how ecofeminist literary analysis can
be put into use to better our understanding of literary materials in today

。\n\nThis PhD project explores the intersections of gender identity\, sexu
ality\, feminism\, and community formation in Taipei. This project is an e
thnographic exploration of the relationship between feminist activism and
the LGBTQ+ rights movement\, analysing how sexual and gender identities in
fluence individuals' desires to align with the feminist movement. The Quee
r Feminist Kinship project revisits established anthropological questions
about kinship and relatedness to examine the formation of community and in
timate political alliances. It utilises intersectionality as a methodology
to question how experiencing overlapping subjectivities and correlative d
iscrimination influences individuals’ lives. It aims to rethink the synerg
ies of feminist and queer resistance\, as well as the frictions between th
e global sex-sexuality-gender taxonomies\, state policies and the everyday
. This interactive talk will outline how the PhD project has been transfor
med by the researcher’s adapting to circumstance\, including changing fiel
d site in response to the Covid-19 pandemic. This is a work-in-progress di
scussion of the Queer Feminist Kinship project\, drawing on 12 months’ fie
ldwork in Taipei\, including interviews\, volunteering\, and photographic
